Walks

London is a great city to walk in, perfect if you don't want to hire a car of use public transport. Although London is more spread out than many other European cities most of the main attractions are easily reached on foot.

Centre of London has many fine parks and gardens which are a welcome retreat from the busy streets and make perfect places for a walk.

In addition to these parks there are lots of paths including many alongside the various canals and of course the River Thames.

There are a number of specialist tour companies who offer guided walks for individuals to small groups of tourists. For the more independant traveller we would recommend a walk along Regents Canal, in Chelsea and Battersea or around Richmond and Kew.

A walk is a great way to get a real feel for a city and you can mingle with the locals at a pace that suits you.
