London has an absolute wealth of places to stay with something to suit all tastes and budgets.

At the one end of the spectrum you have the international chains where standards are guaranteed, here you have the hotels such as the Ritz and the Savoy for which London is famous. You then move through the mid-range hotels which offer far better value and where standards can still be high, London has many of the key players such as Holiday Inn and Best Western. For the traveller simply looking for a place to sleep there are then the hotels, pubs and guest houses offering accomodation for as little as £20 a night, although these will be further from the centre.

Location wise the best hotels tend to be in the smart districts such as Mayfair and Belgravia. Less desirable areas such as Earls Court and Paddington are home to the cheaper hotels but these are still easil reached by Tube.

With so much choice even the pickiest traveller would be hard pushed not to find a hotel to their taste, London truely has something for everyone.
